Day 297: Old School
These guys enjoyed reliving the good ole' days! They will be marching in the Cary Band Alumni group tomorrow. I can't wait to hear the fight song and see these guys rolling their toes ;)

Day 295: Woof! Woof! Arf! Arf!
Doggies, by Sandra Boynton, is kiddo's FAVORITE book! He LOVES to flip through the pages, reading intently. Okay, he's not reading he's barking! He will turn the page, bark, turn the page, bark, and so on. It seriously is the cutest thing EVER!

Day 294: Installation
You're probably wondering what this picture has to do with installation. Installing lights, stage, backdrop? Not quite. Today, NC State University installed their 14th chancellor. Chancellor Woodson and his family were welcomed by Governor Bev Purdue, Erskin Bowles, and other dignitaries. The ceremony reminded me of graduation, with all of the pomp and circumstance. Check out the Bell Tower. How cool is that? E said it reminded him of the mini-Stonehenge in the movie Spinal Tap. No, it did not come down from the ceiling. Anyway, I enjoyed attending the installation. It's an exciting time for NC State! Welcome, Chancellor Woodson!

Day 289: C Squared
Not only do we share the same name and are sisters (in law), but we dress alike too. We met up for lunch and to our surprise show up in the same outfit. I must admit we have good taste and look fabulous too.

Day 288: Yawn.
This month we are reading all things Halloween. Thanks to Grandma D we have a plethora of children's books (it helps that she was 1st grade teacher for 30 + years). She gave us a TON of Halloween books, so every night we've been reading spooky, silly stories. Tonight's spooky story had this affect on J...

Day 286: Allergy free!
No, we're not drawing plays for a football game on J's back. He had an allergy test today. Poor kiddo has eczema pretty bad (thanks to his mama). Thankfully, he has no known allergies to food or animals. Now, we just have to keep an eye on things and try to control outbreaks with a regime of ointments and lotions.

Day 285: It's never to early...
to start teaching your kid how to play an instrument. E and J's jam session went quite well. I love watching these two throw down on the drums. It won't be too long before J has a kit of his very own :)

Day 284: Purple Haze...
'scuse me while I kiss the sky...can't you just hear Jimi? It was a great day in Greenville. Although, it was a L-O-N-G game the Pirates came out on top in over time. Way to go, Pirates!

Day 282: I see E...
I took this picture thinking I'd write something cute about J's new super size Snoopy, but as I was looking at J's face I saw E staring back at me. Anyone else see E?

Day 279: Make it go away.
I'm leaving work with my desk looking like this, which is very rare. It's like leaving my house without making the bed. AAAAAAHHHH! I wish I could just wave a magic wand and make the piles go away.

Day 276: Hot stuff!
J is sporting his new "Hot stuff" t-shirt a cute birthday gift from his Auntie Pattie and Uncle Jack! I think the shirt describes him perfectly :) We took this picture before heading to school.

Day 275: Vroom! Vroom!
My dear Bright Boy left his matchbox van at our house and look who found it. Don't worry, my dear Bright Boy the van will be making its way back to you shortly (via your birthday box). J loves cars, trucks, anything with wheels. While he pushes them around he makes the cutest car sounds "vroom, vroom". He had the BEST time playing outside.

Day 274: Sweet memories
On top of catching up on work emails, I had a chance to write in Josh's baby book. More on the family blog.

Day 273: Eye of the tiger
The title of this post, along with Josh's PJs say it all. Can't you hear the song? We're still fighting colds, but slowly getting better. Do we have cabin fever? YES! Poor kiddo has been stuck indoors with his parents since Sunday. EGADS! We are doing our best to keep him entertained. I think he misses his friends and teacher. We're missing our lives on the outside too. Hopefully, things will get back to normal soon...whatever normal is ;)

Day 272: Cough. Cough. Sniffle. Sniffle.
Take a wild guess. Yep, we're battling nasty colds. This cold came on fast and strong. It's a little crazy, with all of us being sick at once. Usually, it's just Josh or maybe me and Josh, but never all of us! Nyquil, nose drops, cough drops, Kleenex, Vick's baby rub, hot tea, and humidifiers...that's what we're dealing with this week...

Day 271: Slumbering boy and Captain Stanley
Just in case you are curious, Cap'n Stanley is the seahorse. E has a knack for naming stuffed animals.

Day 269: Playdate
Josh and Lea go way back. Back to about 4 months in utero. I met Lea's mom in pre-natal yoga, then we reconnected at an AquaMom's class earlier this year. We've managed to get together a couple times for playdates. It is so nice for our kids to play together (or not - sometimes they just do their own thing), but it's super great to talk "mom" shop. The pictures below are from this afternoon's playdate. We can't wait to get together again!
